I am an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, since 2016.
I grew up in Wolfsville, MD. Some of you might not be familiar but it’s a small town just outside of Myersville. I graduated from Middletown High School and still hold many contacts and close friends in the area. I have been a resident of Washington County for over 10 years now.
All I ever really wanted in life was to be a nurse.
I graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) from Frederick Community College in 2009. As an RN, I gained experience in the ER, interventional radiology, PACU, the med-surgical unit and long-term care. I earned my Bachelor's Degree (BSN) at the University of Notre Dame of MD in 2012, and in 2016 I completed my Master of Science degree specializing in Family Practice at Shenandoah University. Finally, in 2020, I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Shenandoah University and currently serve as an adjunct professor with the university.
As an adjunct professor, I find great joy in precepting FNP students from Shenandoah and you will see them at the practice. I value Shenandoah’s high commitment to the Nurse Practitioner profession and have strong confidence in their program and their students.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I am experienced not only in family practice, but internal medicine, long-term care, hospice, And assisted living.
On the weekends you’ll find my husband, Howard, and I walking or biking the canal or trekking the Appalachian trail which is all a new-found passion for us since the pandemic. The pandemic took much from all of us but it gave me the outdoors. Our daughter, Emily and her husband, Brice live in Hedgesville with, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 20 some chickens and 1 donkey. You will see both of them around the office helping me as we grow together.
I look forward to working closely with you all.
